A leading consumer credit provider operating in several Benelux countries, with a large legacy IT estate. Leadership launched a cloud program to migrate workloads to Azure, adopt DevOps practices and modernize core platforms.
FuturWork embedded a full-time cloud transformation team for more than 12 months to build the cloud foundation, upskill teams and speed up migration.
Challenges
- Cloud adoption without standards. No unified Landing Zone, ad hoc provisioning and inconsistent security and cost governance.
- Steep learning curve. Teams were new to cloud-native tools, IaC and CI/CD, which slowed delivery.
- Legacy debt. Tightly coupled on-premise systems and unclear refactor or rehost decisions.

- Standard cloud foundation. Azure Landing Zone designed and deployed, with guardrails enforced as policy-as-code.
- Hands-on enablement. Coaching on IaC, CI/CD and Azure-native services. Teams deployed on their own within three months.
- Targeted modernization. Migration-readiness assessments and a clear refactor, rehost or retire decision for each application.
